Dark Green Teardrop Earrings with Flowers in Gold

These sweet earrings feature silver teardrops filled with dark green clay, Queen Anne’s lace, spirea and flowers from the nine bark shrub.  All flowers are harvested from gardens in Ohio. Gold gilding flakes adorn the piece, and everything is topped with clear glossy resin.  The teardrop bezel is a hollow bezel style meaning you will see the green clay all the way through.  They dangle on longer style handmade gold filled ear wires.  Spirea may be substituted for purple alyssum depending on availability.

What is gold filled?

“Gold-filled” is real gold pressure bonded in multiple layers over a core of brass, resulting in a quality gold product that will not easily wear off.  It requires 5% pure gold by weight, and is just as hypo-allergenic as wearing karat gold.
